Prague, for centuries this jewel of Europe has been one of the most visited and talked about cities in the world. Snugly located within the heart of Europe, this haven for art and architecture has been home to kings, emperors, artists, writers, astronomers, and more. A beautiful and mysterious city that has worked its magic over the years on generation after generation of visitors, you will be guaranteed to have a life-changing experience while you are in Prague.
It is amazing that Prague escaped the ravages of World War II relatively unscathed. And despite being ripped away from western Europe for 40 years by communism, the country has escaped into the light of modernism to become once again one of the premier European tourist destinations, and not just because of the views. The term “bohemian” was derived from in and around Prague (the nearby region of Bohemia), and the people here have a very laid back way of life that describes the word to the letter.
Shopping malls and designer boutiques dot the landscape, along with restaurants and cocktail bars. The city is a haven for film and music festivals from rock, to opera, jazz, and more. And the bohemian beer … pure liquid heaven! The Czechs actually were the first to invent the Pilsner, and they have been brewing the golden nectar since at least the 9th century, producing some of the finest beers in the world, and you can experience them all while in Prague.
Prague is a city of leisurely pursuits. You can take your time strolling through the wooded parks, the hidden passages of Old Town, and explore the variety of history that makes up this Golden city. From the Roman Empire, the Habsburg Empire, the first Czechoslovak Empire, the Nazi regime to the Communist and the modern, this city hosts such swirling differences in background that you can always experience something different.

I have never been to Prague myself, but I know a lot of friends who have been there for long weekends and loved it.
