Enjoy New Zealand’s Southern Lakes

The Southern Lakes region of the South Island is a lush environment that can satisfy the needs of any traveller. From the rugged outdoor locations such as Lake Wanaka that appeal to the hiker and outdoor enthusiast, to the fruit-and-wine immersed Central Otago region, the sheer diversity of the landscape can capture the hearts of any traveller. And with such a range of locations to choose from, you will be hard-pressed to find a better spot for your New Zealand holiday.

For the all-around adventurer, Queenstown is the perfect spot. Nestled at the head of Lake Wakatipu, you not only have access to lakeside activities, but also plenty of hiking and biking trails just out the back door of your hotel accommodation.

Lake Wanaka is a must-see destination, nestled high in the peaks of the Mount Aspiring National Park. Seasoned travellers working on another notch in their hiking boots will particularly enjoy this location.

And last but certainly not least, is Fiordland, arguably one of the most beautiful places in the world. Imagine a trip against the backdrop of dramatic landscape that the rivers, mountains, forests and lakes make up, and a visit to this area of New Zealand is a must-see for any holiday within this country.

Queenstown Airport offers international flights to Australia, as well as being centrally located with a multitude of hotels and luxury lodgings to accommodate nearly every traveller’s needs. If you are looking for a one-stop place where access to the entire area is a must, then Queenstown is your destination.
