Experience the Viking Way of Life in Denmark

Copenhagen, Denmark is a city of history. There are dozens of museums here to visit, and it is also home to one of the oldest resident monarchies in the world. And striking to the heart of any visitor coming to this picturesque medieval town is the cleanliness and orderliness that prevails despite its cobbled streets and long canals. Almost all of the major attractions for tourists are within roughly three sq. km., meaning that it’s extremely easy to get around on foot, or bicycle, which is the most popular choice for people.

Copenhagen is an old city, probably one of the oldest in Europe. Despite their ancient heritage, this city is a vibrant beacon of modern civilization, with an extremely modern public transport system that runs like clockwork, plenty of Wi-Fi hotspots, and a myriad of shops, restaurants, cafes, theatres, and museums. One of the coolest features of Copenhagen is the free bicycles between May and September. Simply deposit a coin at one of the Bike Parks, ride to your destination, drop it off at the closest Bike Park, and receive your deposit back.

Any visitor here should definitely take the time to visit the Viking Ship Museum. This is a jaw-dropping glimpse into the history of these people. You should also take the time to see the Tivoli Gardens in the city centre and hop on over to Rosenborg Castle.

Almost all of the museums within Copenhagen reflect its people’s reliance on ships and waterways. Their Viking heritage is one of the most popular within Europe, and has sparked many movies, fairy tales, and legends.
